published :

Arsenal and Arsene Wenger are reportedly planning to bid for the 16-year old teen sensation from West Brom wich Albion. The Sun says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking superkid Isaiah Brown for sometime now and is poised to make a £1million bid in the summer to try and bring the youngster to the Emirates.

However, fellow London club Chelsea may enter the race as their scouts gave a positive feedback after watching Isaiah play for West Brom’s Under 21 match against Chelsea. The Blues have an advantage over the Gunners as they are willing to pay higher and also have a good relationship with Baggies boss Steve Clarke. Chelsea youngster Lukaku has been a revelation for the West Brom this season and could help swing a deal in their favour.

Though Clarke himself is trying to persuade the kid to sign an extension over his current two-year scholarship deal, it is entirely up-to the kid to decide about his future.

In other news Arsenal’s plan for the summer swoop of Barcelona duo could be jeopardy.

David-Villa(1)

Arsenal were reportedly linked with a summer bids for Barcelona duo David Villa and Victor Valdes which adds to the long line-up players that they were rumoured to be interested including former player Alex Song, and the likes of Montaya and Sanchez.

It is a known fact that Arsenal attempted to sign David Villa in the January window (or that’s what most of the tabloids reported), but the Spanish club told the Londoners to forget about any move in the winter. And as expected the rumours of a potential transfer have against start ahead of the summer window. Villa is likely to cost in the region of £10million, whilst Valdes would be around £8million. For £18million it looks promising for the Gunners as they could get two experienced winners in key positions.

However, according to the Dailymail, Barcelona are set to offer a new deal for the Spaniard as they still consider him as a valuable asset to the attacking line-up. The striker’s contract is due in another 14 months and if regular first team football is what he wants, then he should wait till summer to decide on his future as Arsenal can afford top give him what he wants.
