AVB’s Poor Start Continues

Andre Villas-Boas will be a worried man right now. Today he saw his team drop two more points by conceding late goal against Norwich City.

Men in yellow started the match brightly and almost opened the scoring when they hit the post in the earlier stages of the match. Tottenham goalkeeper produced a stunning save from a Norwich header to keep them at bay. It was finished 0-0 at half time.

Pace of the game was radically reduced during the start of the second half as neither of team struggled to control the midfield. It was the new signing Dembele who gave the home team the much needed lead. He executed his trademark step over to skip past Norwich defense to fire a low shot past the keeper.

Dembele scored on his debut.

But his dream debut was ruined when Norwich equalized in next ten minutes. They showed their physical strength to win two headers before Snodgrass equalized with a low volley that beat Fridel comfortably.

Things went from bad to worse for the home team as Huddlestone who came in as a substitute got straight red card for his double-footed tackle on Morison.

Match finished 1-1 leaving AVB’s team with just two points out of possible nine. But he will expect his team to play better with their deadline signing Dempsey is expected to start the next game.
