Is This The Best Looking Tottenham XI For Next Season? Including Two New Signings

Tottenham are having a brilliant run this season and are giving league toppers Leicester City a tough competition to win the Premier League this season. With 7 more matches to go, things are looking heated up at the top of the league and it would be interesting to see if Leicester City can hold their lead till the end. Whatever be the result at the end of the season, Mauricio Pochettino has made the best use of his players and it can be well said that the current Tottenham squad look more balanced than ever. This also brings us to the question of what would be a dream Tottenham XI for the next season. Well personally I feel there aren’t a lot many positions that need reinforcements, but still Pochettino would be making an addition or two the current squad to make the team look extremely formidable next season. Let us look at the best Tottenham XI for next season.

GOALKEEPER

Hugo Lloris
One of the world’s best. Not many people would notice after Manuel Neuer, Lloris is probably the best sweeper-keeper in the game. This season his performances have been good but not great like that of the previous seasons. He is quick, agile and very good with his feet. Maybe next season he will become the best in the league.

DEFENDERS

Danny Rose
The young left-back is having a stellar of the season in the left back position and there is no way that Pochettino would try and replace the man. His good performances have been recently rewarded by Roy Hodgson who gave him his first start against World Champions Germany and the Englishman impressed in his first outing.

Toby Alderweireld
The Belgian has been a star defender for Tottenham this season and many claim that he has been the best Centre back in the league so far. After his impressive performances for Southampton last year, Tottenham were quick to land him up at the White Hart Lane and what a signing he has been. I will be looking forward to him owning Tottenham’s defence next year.

Jan Vertonghen
Even though he wasn’t a Pochettino fan right at the start, his hard work has made the Argentine fall in favour of him. This season, before he got injured, he was having a string of good performances and along with Alderweireld he formed the best Central defensive partnership in the EPL. Pochettino would be looking to build upon that in the next season.

Gregory van der Wiel
The Dutchman is going to be a free agent at the end of the current season and many European powerhouses are monitoring his movement. He is a powerhouse of a defender and is extremely hard working. He doesn’t seem to be in the plans of PSG coach Blanc and is looking for a move to another big European club. Both Trippier and Walker have had average seasons this year and Pochettino would be looking to make some strong reinforcements to the right-back position.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS

Eric Dier
What a season he has had. He is also one of the main contenders for this season’s PFA youth player of the year. The 22-year-old has impressed both for club and country and would be one of the stars to look forward in the next season. I expect him to start most of the games next season and maybe become the best defensive midfielder in EPL in coming years.

Mousa Dembele
He is not the first name that comes on anyone’s mouth when they speak of players that have really outperformed for the team in this season. And you can’t blame people because the role he plays his one of the most underrated role in football. Dembele has been a powerhouse in the central midfield for Tottenham and I am looking forward to see him build a partnership with Dier in the heart of the midfield.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS

Dele Alli
One of the star performers for Tottenham in this season’s EPL. ALLI has just been too good at times. His run-ins are perfect; he connects well with Kane in front and Eriksen on his right side, and he is just amazing on the ball most of the times. He is another one of those young talents to look out for in the next season.

Christian Eriksen
For me, he is the main man in the Tottenham Squad. He is the one who is present at the heart of all Tottenham attacks. He is the one who makes it easy for Kane in the attack. He is a creative genius and has a good eye for the ball. With a string of good performances under his belt, he is still tipped to become better with the coming seasons.

Mahmoud Dahoud
The young 20-year old has had a brilliant season for Borussia Monchengladbach this season. He has scored 4 goals and registered 5 assists under his belt this season. Pochettino is supposedly in the market for the talented German and Dahoud would fit in perfectly in this young and fast Tottenham attack.

STRIKER

Harry Kane

The highest scorer in the league in last season’s EPL. Currently the top scorer in this season’s EPL as well. And what a talent the young Englishman has been. He seems to be getting better with every passing day and has impressed for Country as well. He has become a fan favourite for both club and country and seems to be cementing his place in the England team as well.
