Paris Saint-Germain Defender Thiago Silva has put Chelsea and Manchester United on high alert after his talks of extended contract at PSG fell through.

Silva’s current contract at the club is set to expire in 2018 and the club is keen on keeping him at the Parc Des princes, hence are offering him an extended contract. Reports suggest that the talks between the player and the club fell through due to disagreements over the Defender’s wage raise.

The 31-year-old player’s availability has alerted many clubs across Europe including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Along with the Premier League clubs, Serie A side AC Milan have also shown interest in signing Silva. The player spent three years in Milan from 2009 to 2012, helping the club win the Serie A during his time at the club.

Manchester United and Chelsea are on a look out for defenders and signing Silva who is recognized as one of the complete defenders and also a consistent one who can lead without flaws, will be a lottery ticket for either of the clubs.
