Wolfsburg’s new signing Dante has clarified the recent speculations surrounding his future as the Brazilian has been linked with a move to Stamford bridge. The news came after some publication attributed quotes to the 32-year-old defender saying that it would be a dream for him to sign for Premier League outfit, Chelsea.
However, it has been revealed that it was a case of mistaken identity as the quotes were originally said by Mali’s under-17 star Abdul Dante. Abdul Dante recently helped his side to reach the Under 17 world cup final.
“It’s been difficult and confusing for me. I couldn’t understand why people were calling me and asking about Chelsea. I only left Bayern [Munich] in the summer. I’ve got a three-year contract with Wolfsburg so I’ve nothing to look for. I don’t know the other Dante, but it’s his dream, not mine!,” Dante said.
Dante left Bayern Munich and joined their rivals Wolfsburg in the summer transfer window.
