Chelsea have found the candidate suitable for the position of manager at the Stamford Bridge. According to Corriere Dello Sport, Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has announced to Chelsea staff members that Antonio Conte has been appointed as the new manager.

While the Blues bosses were earlier looking to sign Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone the Russian owner faced certain complications regarding the same and hence he had to look out further for new candidates.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Conte will be taking up the managerial post in Chelsea in a £4.6m-a-year in a three year deal.

The Chelsea players learned about Conte’s move to the Stamford Bridge on 26th February before facing Southampton and have since then won two games.

The club has been on a lookout for a permanent manager since Jose Mourinho’s departure in December and although Guus Hiddink has done a commendable job since he took up as an interim manager, the Duthcman has announced his retirement from managing, thus Chelsea had to look out for a new candidate.
