Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was linked with a move away from the Bridge in the summer, however, the player did not leave the club this summer, although speculations regarding his move out of Stamford Bridge in January are still running rife.
The player is yet to start a Premier League game this season and even after the summer transfer window closed, reports of the player’s move out of the club is still making rounds.
AC Milan was keen on signing Fabregas, and was willing to wait till January to acquire the player’s services. Milan had been keeping close tabs on the player’s situation at the Bridge, however, they may have been disappointed now as Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stated that he has plans for Fabregas this summer.
“Cesc is in my plans and in Chelsea’s plans. We all know Cesc is a fantastic player.
“I see him in every training session with great work rate. If he continues in this way, it’ll be very difficult for me to choose my midfield. But I want this from a player, putting many doubts in my mind over choosing someone else. Cesc is a great player. We all know Cesc, a great technical player. Now I’m starting to get to know him as a man. A great personality.”
The midfielder has started only one game this season, during the League cup match against Bristol Rivers.
