After a long drawn drama, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is confirmed to be joining Manchester United as said be Borussia Dortmund via social media and official website.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 27 year old Armenia international is set to become the third signing of Jose Mourinho. The player had earlier refused to renew his existing contract with Borussia Dortmund and with only one year remaining in the current contract the German club would have lost him for free next summer. A standout performer from last season Mkhitaryan has scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists as Borussia Dortmund finished second on the table.
The club has officially announced that the offer made by Manchester United has been accepted and the player will be moving to Premier League in matter of days. Two days ago there were reports that a private jet from Dortmund had left for Manchester and now it is clear who was there on that. The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of £26 million.
The Dortmund website announced, “After intensive discussions BVB have complied with the wishes of the Armenian national team player to join Manchester United.”
