With several of their defenders either injured or not performing at their highest level one would think that Liverpool are looking to strengthen their squad. Instead, the quality obsessed manager, Jurgen Klopp is reportedly planning to send one of their defenders out on loan.
According to Express Sports, the club is planning to send Mamadou Sakho on loan elsewhere this season. The player has had a roller coaster run of forms and the club feels that he could “find himself” on loan at an another club. The report states that AS Roma are interested in his short term service.
Liverpool have been criticized after their 2-0 loss at Burnley in spite of having 81% overall possession. Jurgen Klopp has spoken to the media saying that the more pressing matter is the attack and not the defense of the team. Currently, Ragnar Klavan Dejan Lovren are first choice center backs while Joel Matip is in the reserves. This leaves hardly any room for Sakho.
