Liverpool are ready to make a formal offer for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell, according to the Daily Mail.
The Reds are tabling a formal bid of £4m for the player, who is a Leicester City youth academy product and has developed into one of the most promising defenders in British football, after failing to break into the first team football earlier this season.
The player made three appearances in the domestic cup competitions, although he was not able to break into Claudio Raneiri’s first team where Christian Fuchs was the first choice left-back for the foxes.
Further, the youngster is frustrated with his situation in Leicester City due to lack of progress in the club and has so far refused any offer from the Foxes to tie him down to the club.
The Reds are not the only ones looking out for the player, Arsenal and Chelsea too are looking to sign the player, however after having tabled the deal, the Reds are looking to steal the march from its rivals.
