The last time Manchester United bought a German player he didn’t really live up to the expectation. Thus you can understand our skepticism when we heard from TransferMarketWeb that Manchester United has made a bid for Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg.
The report says that Draxler is high on the priority list for Jose Mourinho and a bid has already been made. Wolfsburg bought him last summer for Schalke and are keen to keep him but it is reported that a bid of £38 million will make the German club change their mind. Draxler was replacement for Kevin De Bruyne who left for Manchester City last summer.
Draxler has played 32 games this season, scored 8 goals and has provided 7 assists. At only 22 years old he has the capability to become one of the finest wingers as he can play on either of the wings. However we assume that if he comes to United he may spend more time on the right wing as Anthony Martial has become a fine winger on the left.
