There was a recent article in Spanish newspaper Marca, on Pedro Chirivella and his debut for Liverpool’s first team in the Europa League. Marca added that the youngster has fulfilled his childhood dream over the past week, as he completed the move to Anfield from Valencia in 2013, with the Merseyside club only paying a training compensation of around €250,000.

The 18-year-old central midfielder was spotted by David Vizcaíno, Liverpool’s scout for Spain and Portugal, who asked the Premier League outfit to immediately sign him.

Xabi Alonso is the youngster’s idol and so he is following the foot-steps of the Bayern Munich star, who moved from Liverpool to Real Madrid and is now with the Bundesliga champions.

The Spanish newspaper further added that Chirivella can become Liverpool’s Todocampista, meaning ‘a player who can operate in several positions’ and further called him a ‘pearl’.
