Everton Striker Romelu Lukaku has been on the limelight for some time now due to his exceptional form this season. The player has attracted attention from many of the clubs this season, one of them being Manchester United.
The Belgian striker has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United for a while now and as such the Everton player will provide a boost to United’s goal-scoring which is lacking this time around.
“He (Lukaku) is very interesting,” Van Gaal said when asked how United would deal with the Belgium international.
“When you score a lot of goals, you are always a potential candidate for clubs. Football is like that.
“When you look at scoring goals and making assists, he (Lukaku) does that at the highest level in the Premier League.
“But I think every club in the world is comparing strikers.”
Current United boss Louis Van Gaal got to see the player first hand during United’s match against Tottenham on Sunday and while the Dutchman accepted that the player interests him, he also stated that the whole world compares strikers nowadays.
However, lack of Champions League football may be a hindrance in United’s path to sign the player as the Belgian Striker is said to have set his heart on the Champions League games next season.
