It is all over the news at the moment that Filipe Luis is all set to return to Spain and be a part of the Atletico Madrid squad once again. The Chelsea left-back was pictured a few days ago at the Barajas airport in Madrid, hinting that a deal was on the verge of being completed soon and that the Brazilian international would be joining the La Liga giants.
According to reports from Spanish newspaper AS, the 29-year old defensive superstar and the Spanish giants spent a whole day waiting for a confirmation from the Premier League champions, yet nothing was announced.
Diego Simeone’s side want to have a presentation with Luis during the course of this week and the time is running out for their liking.
The report further adds that, although the Blues have agreed all the terms and details regarding the deal, they are looking to sign a replacement first, before they allow the defender to leave Stamford Bridge.
Atletico are said to be frustrated due to the wait, knowing that the Brazilian is in Madrid and will be joining them once again in the current transfer window.
