Arsenal are in a desperate need of a midfield enforcer as they are yet to find a perfect replacement for Alex Song. Though Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Francis Coquelin has been doing a decent job, they need a player who can add some steel to their fragile midfield. And it is rumoured that Arsène Wenger is considering making a bid for the holding midfielder in the coming days as he wants to make sure Arsenal have enough quality for the rest of the season to make it to the Champions league qualifying spot in the league and to go as far as possible in this years FA cup and Champions League.

Talking about the situation, Wenger said:

“Maybe we’ve got to go back a little bit, not less technical but a bit more physical, more aggressive,” said Wenger. “Maybe we have to restructure the balance of the team a little bit. But the players have the character to do it. Wilshere are technical players but they are also physical players.”

Celtic have slapped a massive £25m price tag on the Kenyan but Arsene Wenger in convinced that he could land his man for less than half the price as he is ready to pay up-to £10m.  Wanyama has 7 goals to his name from 32 appearances this season with a impending physical presence and a decent creative vision in the midfield.  and is one of the top talents available in that position across Europe. It is hard to see Neil Lennon selling the youngster for £10m.
