Carvalhal to make 1 change – Predicted 5-3-2 Swansea City line-up to face Chelsea

Predicted Swansea City Line-up To Face Chelsea In The Premier League

The fight for Premier League survival feels like it will go down to the wire for Swansea City following their 5-0 crushing at the hands of champions Manchester City.

However, Swansea have very little time to sit and moan about the defeat as they next face Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium this weekend.

It will certainly be a tough test but having already beaten Arsenal and Liverpool at home this season, Carlos Carvalhal will know that they are more than capable of surprising anyone on their day.

Probable Swansea City XI

Manager: Carlos Calvahal

Formation: 5-3-2

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

Fabianski has been an inspiring figure in goal for the Swans, producing quality saves every game. He should retain his place between the sticks.

Kyle Naughton (RWB)

Naughton has been decent at right-back this season. He is defensively sound but lacks the attacking thrust to maraud forward and put crosses into the box.

Mike Van Der Hoorn (RCB)

The centre-back endured a horror time against Manchester City last weekend. He will need to forget it as quickly as possible and put up a solid display against Chelsea.

Kyle Bartley (CB)

With Federico Fernandez injured, Kyle Bartley is expected to start at the weekend. He is a strong and powerful defender and should be deployed in order to keep a strong Chelsea attack at bay.

Alfie Mawson

Alfie Mawson (LCB)

Mawson is one of Swansea’s most crucial players at the back and will start the game on Saturday for sure.

Martin Olsson (LWB)

Blessed with good pace and crossing abilities, Olsson will look to get into good positions and trouble Chelsea’s back-line with his whipping deliveries from the left.

Andy King (RCM)

King has been a reliable option in the midfield for Swans. He will be tasked with nullifying Chelsea’s midfield.

Ki Sung-yueng (CM)

Starting at the base of midfield for Swansea should be Ki Sung-yueng. The South Korean is a player reborn under Carvalhal and will be looking to continue his good run of form.

Tom Carroll (LCM)

Carroll has struggled to find the form that saved Swansea from relegation last term. However, his creativity and sudden burst of pace should see him retain his spot in central midfield.

Jordan Ayew

Andre Ayew (ST)

Ayew is likely to start in his usual role and add some much-needed pace and creativity to the Swansea attack.

Jordan Ayew (ST)

Andre will be complemented in the attack by his brother, Jordan Ayew, who is having a good season with the Welsh club. A clinical striker and tireless worker, the Ghanaian will look to get on the score sheet against the Blues.
