Carvalhal to make 2 changes – Predicted 4-4-2 Swansea City line-up to face Manchester City

Predicted Swansea City Line-up To Face Manchester City In The Premier League

Swansea are so close to Premier League safety but it also feels so far away, with four games left in the season. It is a nervy time for the Welsh club but one victory could go a long way.

Manchester City, however, will be a mighty tough ask, especially now that they have clinched the title. They will be playing with a freedom that could see them score many goals and it will be up to Swansea to put in a decent showing and try to overturn them.

Probable Swansea City XI

Manager: Carlos Calvahal

Formation: 4-4-2

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

The goalkeeper has had a good season for the Swans and seems to save some goals every game. A relief to the defenders that they have quality between the sticks.

Martin Olsson (LB)

The left-back has had a disappointing season. Always looks good going forward but has been caught out positionally on several occasions this season.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

The strong centre-back has looked very good this season and has been one of Swansea’s saving graces. He has an outside chance of an England call-up and so he’ll be looking to impress in the final few games of the season.

Alfie Mawson

Federico Fernandez (CB)

Fernandez has formed an excellent partnership at the back with Mawson this term and the two are one of the reasons why Swansea managed to pull themselves out of relegation zone.

Kyle Naughton (RB)

The right-back has been in good form this season. He always looks solid defensively whilst also allowing himself to get forward and put in some good crosses in the attack.

Nathan Dyer (RM)

A player with a lot of pace but unfortunately, his end product occasionally lets him down. He allows Swansea to play with a lot of width but has not done enough this season.

Andy King (CM)

King is a good option for Swansea in the middle of the park. He is always committed to the challenge and breaks up the opposition’s play well.

Tom Carroll left Tottenham to join Swansea.
Tom Carroll

Ki Sung-yueng (CM)

The central midfielder has had a good revival since Carvalhal’s arrival. He is out of contract in the summer and will be looking to play well to earn an extension.

Tom Carroll (RM)

Single-handedly saved Swansea from relegation last year but has struggled a little more this season with only 4 assists in 25 appearances. Will be hoping to grab a few more before the end of the season.

Tammy Abraham (ST)

Made the slightly strange decision to go to Swansea on-loan at the start of the season and has been inconsistent. When he plays well, he is an absolute handful for defenders but he can also go missing during games.

Jordan Ayew (ST)

The young striker has been good all season and finally looks like he might be able to cut it at the top level. He has 3 goals in his last 4 games and is in a rich vein of form.
