Carvalhal to make 5 changes – Strongest 5-4-1 Swansea lineup to face West Ham United

Predicted Swansea City Lineup To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Swansea City welcome West Ham United to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday after their heroic unbeaten run came to an end. This might be one of the most important matches of the season as the battle for survival is only getting tighter and more intense. After picking up points in six games in a row, they were mauled by Brighton and Hove Albion.

Their opponents too lost to Liverpool by the same scoreline, 4-1. Despite the good form, they have dropped to 18th place again and without a doubt, the Swans will be keen on finding a comfort zone above the bottom three. Their form against the Hammers has been off-colour lately due to three defeats but they can never be ruled out at home, as they have won their previous three at the Liberty.

Team News

Leroy Fer, Renato Sanches, Wilfred Bony and Angel Rangel are all sidelined. Leon Britton got over 7 minutes of action on the pitch last time out and will be pushing for a start.

Probable Swansea XI

Ever since Carlos Carvalhal took charge, he has continued with the same structure and almost the same players, week in week out. This time around too, he is expected to field a similar side that lost to the Seagulls. With an extra centre-back, a defensive sheath would surely be added to the lineup.

Manager: Carlos Carvalhal

Formation: 5-4-1

GK: Lukasz Fabianski

The only goalkeeper with 100 saves in the Premier League this term will guard goals for Swansea City. Fabianski is an inspiring figure for them at the back.

RWB: Kyle Naughton

Naughton holds his line, keeps his feet on the ground and is a pivotal player when they defend narrow and flat. He will play at right-back.

RCB: Mike Van Der Hoorn

The centre-back needs to forget last week’s horror show and be more competitive at the back.

Lukasz Fabianski

CB: Federico Fernandez

Federico Fernandez will play at the heart of the defence. He is often solid at the back and is a threat going forward too.

LCB: Alfie Mawson

Mawson, probably their best centre-back, will start the game for sure. He is the most mature defender around.

LWB: Martin Olsson

Olsson’s pace and creative abilities will come in handy against the Hammers. Defensively, he is sturdy and disciplined.

RM: Nathan Dyer

Got a much-needed goal in midweek and will be hoping to continue the same from right-wing.

CM: Tom Carroll

Tom Carroll will retain his spot in central midfield.

Sam Clucas

CM: Sung-Yeung Ki

Ki will start alongside Carroll. He is a calm passer, possesses clever movement and goes about his business smartly.

LM: Sam Clucas

The dynamic Sam Clucas will play on the left-wing. He is skillful and has a sharp eye for goal.

ST: Jordan Ayew

Coming into the game in a rich vein of form, Ayew is all set to lead the attack again. He is a talented finisher and a tireless worker.
