Celtic FC News: According to the Daily Record, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is set to leave the Scottish giants for Leicester City.

The Celtic manager was heavily linked with the Premier League side after the sacking of Claude Puel. The Frenchman witnessed the final day of his managerial stint following City’s defeat to the Crystal Palace 4-1.

Rodgers set for Premier League return

Now the report suggests that Rodgers has been given the nod for the Premier League move.

Alongside the former Liverpool manager, his assistant Chris Davies, coach Kolo Toure and fitness coach Glenn Driscoll will also be heading to the King Power Stadium.

Neil Lennon, the former Hoops manager is expected to replace the Northern Irish manager at Celtic Park (h/t Daily Record).

Rodgers was given permission this morning to talk with the Foxes and could appear as a spectator in tonight’s game against Brighton.

Rodgers joined the Hoops back in 2016 and has led his side to the two successful trebles. Under his reign, the Scottish club have lost only in 29 games out of 169.

The former Swansea manager is now set to make a return to the Premier League since leaving Liverpool in 2016.

However, Rodgers couldn’t inspire the Hoops in the Europa League this season as they were defeated by Valencia in the round of 32.

The Northern Irish manager could step into the Premier League with Foxes currently sitting 12th in the table just eight points clear of the relegation zone.
