Celtic FC News: Brendan Rodgers shows interest in bringing A Key Celtic staff to the Premier League

The Northern Irish manager made a shocking move to Leicester City from Celtic Park last week.

Rodgers has penned a new deal as the Foxes manager till June 2022.

The departure has sparked a lot of reactions among the Hoops fans. 

The back room staffs Chris Davies, Kolo Toure and Glen Driscoll have also followed the manager’s footsteps to the Premier League.

Now, the former Liverpool manager is looking to reunite with Congerton at King Power Stadium.

The Welshman has been cited as the replacement for the Foxes head of recruitment Macia, who is probably heading to Bordeaux as his contract expires at the end of this season. ( h/t The Telegraph)

Meanwhile, the Scottish club were reportedly interested in appointing the Welshman as the new Sports Director. (h/t Talk Sport)

However, the former Chelsea scout is reluctant to pen a deal and seeking an exit at the end of the season.

Congerton joined the Scottish League back in 2017 and has been often backed by Rodgers for his work.

Rodgers on his first game as the Foxes manager suffered a defeat against Watford on Sunday.  The Premier League side is currently 11th in the table and are battling out to avoid the relegation.

Neil Lennon has been appointed as the new makeshift manager of the Hoops till the end of the season. In fact, he has led his side to two fresh wins over the course of a week.
