The former Hibernian manager took the helm after the unexpected departure of Brendan Rogers to Leicester City.

Despite Lennon’s successful run, his future at Celtic Park is still in limbo.

Lennon has lost only one game since taking charge midway through the season. Now, the club chiefs have informed him that his future doesn’t depend on winning the Cup final.

Speaking ahead of the Cup final, Lennon said, (h/t The Scottish Sun)

No, I have been told that already, by the hierarchy.

“And I have no reason not to believe them.”

The Northern Irish gaffer also spoke about the difference between his playing style and his compatriot Rodgers’.

“People are saying, ‘Well the performances aren’t the same’ – well they are.

“If I’d gone in and changed things and it hadn’t worked, I would’ve been making a huge mistake.

While still being the favourite for the next manager job, the Hoops are yet to make a call on Lennon.

The Bhoys lifted the Scottish Premiership for a historic eighth time in a row.
