Celtic Transfer News: Crystal Palace eye in-form Hoops’ forward

Celtic FC News: According to the reports from The Sun, Crystal Palace have shown interest in Celtic winger Oliver Burke.

The report suggests that the Premier League side is looking to seal a permanent deal for the Scottish winger. (h/t The Sun)

The 21-year-old  was acquired on a season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion earlier this year.

Burke had disappointing spells at the clubs he had spent before.  The expensive move to RB Leipzig from Nottingham Forrest didn’t go in the expected way as he often found his time on the sidelines.

Despite being immensely talented at a tender age, the winger couldn’t construct a productive career for himself.

Ever since he stepped foot into the Scottish League, Burke made a certain impact which led to praises from the fans as well as the former manager Brendan Rodgers.

Furthermore, the forward received his first international call-up in two years. Following the call, Burke said he would translate his current form to his national side.

The on-loan Albion player is expected to feature in the Euro Qualifiers game against Kazakhstan tonight.

Burke was heavily linked with Palace before he quit Leipzig to join the Baggies.

It is expected that former Scottish player Dougie Freedman, present sporting director of Palace, could persuade Burke to join the Premier League.

Freedman has worked with the Scottish winger during his time at Nottingham.

Neil Lennon has taken the charge on an interim basis after Brendan Rodgers left Park head to join the Premier League club Leicester City.

Ever since then, Lennon has led his side to three big wins and a draw.
