Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich appointed ex-Liverpool and Inter boss Rafael Benitez as new interim manager back in November as Di Matteo was sacked. Abramovich has been impressed with Blues’ six wins in their last seven games, in which they hit 26 goals and reached the Capital One Cup semi-finals and Roman Abramovich is considering offering the former Liverpool boss a new long-term contract.
