The incident involving Chelsea striker Diego Costa and Arsenal center-back Gabriel Paulista has taken the center stage in social network after the latter was was sent off before half-time during Arsenal’s away game against Chelsea earlier today. The Chelsea striker grappled with Gabriel and swung his arm into his face before knocking him to the floor with his chest. The referee warned both of them with a yellow but after that, Paulista clipped Costa and referee Mike Dean punished the Brazilian defender with a direct red card.

But from the replays, it was evident that Costa deserved a direct red card also for trying to initiate a fight with Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny. It was Paulista, who came in between to break the ice but somehow got into the fight unknowingly. The fans got furious and reacted on Twitter. Here are some hilarious

Costa does it and he’s a dirty footballer but when Thiago Messi does it, it’s cute? #CampaignAgainstChelsea pic.twitter.com/F1zGtUJMOW

The teams I’ve played for in the past. 3 or 4 of us would go straight through Costa in the 2nd half. Pick up 3-4 yellows then Costa😡Off

Massive injustice at Stamford Bridge. Costa gets away with a Red Card and Arsenal go down to 10 men seconds later. https://t.co/p3PjKRIBtP
