Swansea City ball boy Charlie Morgan is a famous guy all of a sudden, sadly in a wrong way as he received death threats from some disgruntled Chelsea fans following the infamous incident involving Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
The 17-year-old was criticized for time wasting and was eventually kicked by Eden Hazard during Chelsea’s League Cup semi-final exit against Swansea on Wednesday.
Morgan’s friend Ellie Moyle told The Sun,
“He has had death threats,”
“It’s really bad.”
Hazard was shown red for his act and is due to receive a three-match ban.
Even some football celebrities criticized the ball boy for his unethical behavior,
Ashley Cole’s mom Sue Cole posted on her facebook wall, “f***ing little sh**”, according to the Daily Mail. The message was later deleted.
The king of bad boys Joey Barton himself defended Hazard’s act in his twitter where he tweeted,
‘Hazard only crime is he hasn’t kicked him hard enough… Just re-read that last tweet and it sounds like i’m advocating kicking ballboys! I was mearly trying to point out Hazard, may as well of kicked him properly for the way he is going to be punished for this. Public perception is he’s volleyed him. In reality he’s tried all be it in an aggressive manner to dislodge the ball from beneath him. I am strictly against the kicking of balls people. #kickitout’
