Chelsea News: John Terry Glorifies Their New Signing Samuel Eto

John Terry was full of praise for Chelsea’s new signing Samuel Eto. Terry feels that the addition of Eto has strengthened the squad and increased their title chance significantly.

Chelsea skipper also admitted that he felt much relived to play alongside Eto and not as his opponent any more. Speaking to Chelsea TV, he also talked about their other Summer signing Willian.

Terry:
Terry: Eto is such a threat

Terry said (to Chelsea TV),

“He’s (Eto) looked really sharp in training so far, and so has Willian,”

“You speak to them and they talk about how the intensity of their training (in Russia) is a lot different to how it is here, so for sure it will take them a few weeks to get their full fitness, but once they do they’ll both look very good.”

“I said to him (Eto’o) thank god you’re here because I’ve had so many battles against him. He’s such a threat, he’s obviously a few years older but he still looks very sharp and hungry. He’s got an eye for goal and I think he’ll be a good addition, he was welcomed straight into the squad.”

John Terry, who featured in all four of Chelsea’s league title triumphs is confident that Chelsea have enough depth and talent in their squad to win the premier league title again. Terry also showed his admiration and encouragement for Chelsea’s youth players.

He continued,

“We have a lot of games coming up and, looking at the Swindon one, I said to them (youngsters) it’s maybe an opportunity to impress the manager and maybe get on the bench or start in those kind of games.”

“When they come over they can be intimidated, but it’s important they express themselves and give themselves the best opportunity for these games.”

“Nowadays you have to be exceptional to break through; the talent’s there, it’s just about whether they have the hunger or not, and hopefully they have.”
