Chelsea Player Ratings Against Spurs: Zouma and Cahill Shine

Kurt Zouma
Kurt Zouma

Asmir Begovic 6.5

Did well in the initial stages to keep Harry Kane and co. away from the goal and after that, he was forced to make some routine saves. He also did well to intercept the crosses for which Kane was flying in and denied Son a header. Deserved clean sheet for the goalie.

Branislav Ivanovic 6

He looked defensively good and looked like getting back to his best again which is evident from the way he controlled Danny Rose. He did not provide a threat going forward.

Kurt Zouma 7.5

The Frenchman had one of his best games as he was completely in control, both in air and ground throughout the game.

Gary Cahill 7

He dealt with each and everything that was thrown at him. Provided stability and backed the Chelsea back-line.

Cesar Azpilicueta 6

He was nervous against Kyle Walker, bt somehow managed to managed to keep his threat out of the way.

Cesc Fabregas 6

Once again the Spaniard looked far from his best. Initiated some brilliant counter-attacks just to see them thrown away by the forwards.

Nemanja Matic 6

Started off slowly, but managed to get back into the game when needed. He shielded the Chelsea defence well.

Willian 6

Set-piece deliveries were a menace to the Spurs defence who constantly backed off the forward. Brazilian’s final delivery from open play though found wanting. Contributed a lot in the defence too.

Oscar 6.5

Oscar started well but gradually faded as the game wore on. He failed to create chances but managed to keep Spurs defence on their toes.

Pedro 6

Got into good position twice in the match to line up a shot from 20 yards, but failed to hit the target on both the occasions. He had a good link-up with Hazard and looked menacing initially.

Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard 6.5

He looked threatening with his dribbles and it clearly showed that he is enjoying his free role.
