Nathan Ake To Start – Expected Chelsea Line-up (3-4-3) To Face Wolves In The FA Cup

Expected Chelsea Line-up vs Wolves

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are back in action for the Emirates FA cup this weekend after a frustrating goalless draw against Burnley in the league last time.  The Blues will also be eyeing some domestic silverware and will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, in the 5th round of the Emirates FA Cup. Conte’s side got the better of Brentford in the previous round and will travel to the Molineux Stadium to face Paul Lambert’s side away from home. The Wolves are fresh from a victory over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the previous round of the competition and are expected to give Chelsea a run for their money. Conte is desperate for silverware this season and so he is expected to go with a strong XI for this tie. Here is a prediction of the line-up he might field for this game:

Team News:

The manager is set to miss out on the likes of John Terry and David Luiz, both of whom are injured.  However, Chelsea have no other injury issues to worry about ahead of this tie.

Expected lineup (3-4-3):

Asmir Begovic:

The deputy to Courtois, Begovic has been decent when called upon and is expected to start this tie.

Cesar Azpilicueta:

The Spaniard has been one of the most consistent defenders in the league and should keep his place in the side.

Gary Cahill:

Injury to David Luiz recently means that the experienced defender might get a chance to play at the center of the back-3 for Conte’s team in this game.

Kurt Zouma:

Coming back from a lengthy injury, Zouma is yet to impress the manager and will get a chance to do so this weekend.

Ola Aina:

The youngster was impressive in his previous outing for Chelsea and is expected to start as the right wing-back for this game.

Cesc Fabregas:

The Spanish playmaker is among the best in the business and has to be at his usual level to make this game a comfortable one for the Blues.

Nemanja Matic:

The Serbian midfielder is the first choice for Conte in the league and he might start alongside Cesc Fabregas to lend some balance to the team.

Nathan Ake:

The young defender has been superb in his first outing for the club earlier in the year and Conte could play him on the left-wing.

Willian:

The Brazilian winger has been in impressive form recently and Conte will hope that starting him will help the Blues finish kill this game quickly.

Pedro:

The Spaniard, in the form that he is at the moment, will play a decent role for his side to come away with a victory and is expected to start.

Michy Batshuayi:

Though not the first choice for Conte, Batshuayi is the only option that can give Costa a rest and the manager might take this opportunity to test the Belgian out.

Here’s how they’d look.
