Club Confirms! Chelsea Set To Sign A Goalkeeper

When a club’s manager says that one of his players will join another club next week then there is little left to speculate. While it may come as abrupt and shocking, Dinamo Zagreb manager Zlatko Kranjcar has said that Portugal international Eduardo will join Chelsea in the coming week.

It has come to light recently that the Blues are looking for a goalkeeper with Diego Lopez being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but according to Kranjcar, it’s not Lopez but Eduardo who will be joining the Blues. Asmir Begovic may be allowed to leave and the Portugal international will likely be behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order.

Eduardo was part of Portugal’s Euro 2016 winning side and will become the third signing for the Premier League giants. Speaking after the game against Salzburg, Kranjcar was asked about Eduardo situation where he revealed that the player will leave the club.

This is what he had to say, “Yes, I think so. Eduardo has been given an amazing opportunity to leave for a big club like Chelsea. When he arrived we gained security in our team, and in my time in the club, he has defended his goal very well. But the situation is that he is leaving. May he have all the good luck in a big club.”
