Rangers vs Celtic Predictions – Combined line-up

The final Old Firm Derby of the season will be played on Sunday, this time at the Ibrox. Even though Celtic have clinched the title and are nine points ahead of their rivals Rangers, this game has pride riding on it. Hence, expect a fiery encounter.

The last time these two teams met was one hell of a battle at the Parkhead. Celtic won that game, but boy it was heated from the first whistle, with both teams at it.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at both squads and make a combined line-up, featuring players from both teams who are fit to play on Sunday.

Combined Rangers-Celtic XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Neil Lennon

Scott Bain (GK)

Bain has been a consistent figure in goal for the Hoops and has kept a lot of clean sheets. He should get the nod ahead of Allan McGregor.

James Tavernier (RB)

With Mikael Lustig a huge doubt, Rangers captain Tavernier gets the right-back slot.

Connor Goldson (CB)

Goldson has been the only consistent centre-back in the Gers team throughout the course of this season. He deserves to get into this combined line-up.

Jozo Simunovic (CB)

On current form, Simunovic has done well in place of Dedryck Boyata. He should partner Goldson.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

The Scotsman is one of the best left-backs in the league and it is a no-brainer to have him in this line-up.

Scott Brown (CM)

The Celtic captain has been pretty consistent in central midfield for them. Hence, he gets the nod ahead of other options.

Steven Davis (CM)

Davis’ form has taken an upward surge in the last few weeks. Thus, he partners Brown in central midfield.

James Forrest (RW)

Even though his current form is slightly wobbly, Forrest is better than most at right wing in the league.

Tom Rogic (CAM)

The Aussie star has been in inspired form of late and deserves a spot in this line-up.

Ryan Kent (LW)

The loanee from Liverpool continues to produce the goods for the Gers from the left wing. There is no doubt he gets into this team.

Jermaine Defoe (ST)

Both Odsonne Edouard and Defoe have been in good form up front. However, the Rangers man has been more clinical and gets the nod ahead of the Celtic striker.
