Confirmed line-ups for Liverpool vs Manchester City: Klopp and Guardiola make surprise decisions
After making a delightful start to their season, Liverpool are now winless in the last three games and Jurgen Klopp will want his side to bounce back against Manchester City at home this weekend. The Reds succumbed to a late goal against Napoli, which handed them their first European loss of the season.
Manchester City picked up a win against Hoffenheim to get their European journey underway and are also one of the other teams to remain unbeaten this season apart from Liverpool. The Reds have a superb record at home in the league, last losing at Anfield over a year ago.
Pep Guardiola’s men have a dreadful record at Anfield, last enjoying a league win there 15 years ago. The Spaniard has lost more matches in all competitions against Jurgen Klopp (7) than he has against any other manager, losing three times against Borussia Dortmund and four times against Liverpool.
But both teams will definitely go for the jugular in order to maintain pace at the top. Both managers like to play attractive attacking football and it will definitely prove to be a key game in the season.
