Conte Had His Brilliant Attacker As His No.1 Target, But Former Chelsea Manager Is Trying To Swoop In For The Player

Bosnia International Miralem Pjanic is said to be in Chelsea’s incoming manager Antonio Conte’s target list for the summer transfers.

The player has a £30million release clause in his current contract with Roma. However, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, Chelsea may still have to put in maximum efforts to convince the player to move to the Stamford Bridge, even if they meet the £30million release clause as the player is planning for a long-term stay in Roma and is said to be house hunting last week.

Pjanic joined Roma in 2011, from Olympique Lyonnais wherein his career took off.

Further reports suggest that Bayern Munich too are interested in the player, wherein a secret phone call from Carlo Ancelotti to Pjanic regarding a move to Munich is involved. This seems debatable, as media do play as many parts as they can where transfers are concerned.

Chelsea are also looking out for Pjanic’s team-mate Radja Nainggolan for a potential move to the Stamford Bridge in the summer.
