Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face West Ham United In The Premier League
Chelsea will try to recover from the disappointment of their loss to Spurs at home when they take on West Ham this weekend. Chelsea have lost 4 of their last 6 games and find themselves 8 points off the top-four with only 7 games left to play.
West Ham, on the other hand, are now 5 points clear of the relegation zone after gaining an important win against Southampton last time out at the London Stadium.
Chelsea now have very little to play for in the league and anything other than a win would be terrible news for Antonio Conte.
Probable Chelsea XI
Manager: Antonio Conte
Formation 3-4-2-1
GK – Thibaut Courtois
Courtois was sorely missed as Chelsea lost to Tottenham last weekend but the big man from Belgium is back for this crunch local derby.
CB – Antonio Rudiger
The 25-year-old German has had a difficult start to his Chelsea career and has looked like the weak link in the Chelsea defence at times.
CB – Andreas Christensen
The Danish international has improved massively but is still vulnerable against players of real quality. Will need to shake off the mistakes from recent past.
CB – Cesar Azpilicueta
The captain of the side and the rock at the heart of the defence, Azpilicueta is one of Chelsea’s best players, and they will need him to perform at the top of his game for the rest of the season.
LWB – Marcos Alonso
Marcos Alonso had such a good season last year. Although he has bagged 7 goals this season, he has yet to influence games like he did last season.
CM – Cesc Fabregas
The 30-year-old provides Chelsea with a range of passing that no other player can provide. Although he can drift in and out of games, he is still capable of providing the killer contribution.
CM – N’Golo Kante
The engine of this team, Kante can run and tackle all game long. He has endeared himself to the Chelsea fans with his selfless performances.
RWB – Victor Moses
Not many people thought he would be able to make the grade at Chelsea but he is now a regular starter in the team.
LAM – Eden Hazard
Hazard create something out of nothing and can drive his team forward. He has had a lean month and hasn’t provided a goal or assist in 6 games.
RAM – Willian
Willian has shown how that he can damage the opposition defences. He will enjoy running at a makeshift West Ham defence.
ST – Alvaro Morata
Even if the result was not good for Chelsea last weekend, Morata got a goal and that would have boosted his morale for sure.
