Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Hove Albion Prediction: Crystal Palace line-up
Hosts Crystal Palace welcome arch-rivals Brighton and Hove Albion to Selhurst Park on Monday.
The two sides are currently separated by just three points in the Premier League, with Palace placed 10th and Brighton following them closely at 12th in the league table.
Roy Hodgson’s Eagles are in fine form after securing seven points in their last three matches, while Graham Potter’s Brighton have not had an entirely satisfactory outing in recent times.
The Seagulls have won just 1 game in their last five Premier League outings. Having kept clean sheets in their last three matches, Crystal Palace would be a confident bunch when they take on Brighton for the first time in the league this season.
Team news
Hodgson has a lot of injury concerns ahead of the match against the Seagulls, with defenders Joel Ward (knee), Patrick van Aanholt (thigh), and Jeffrey Schlupp (groin) definite to sit out due to respective injuries.
The Eagles will be without defender Mamadou Sakho, who is serving a three-match ban after getting sent off in the match against Bournemouth. Attacking midfielder Max Meyer is a doubtful candidate for the home fixture as he is still recovering from illness.
Predicted Crystal Palace line-up
Formation: 4-3-3
Vincente Guaita (GK)
The Spaniard has been Hodgson’s trusted custodian in front of goal this season. He has so far kept 6 clean sheets from 14 matches.
Martin Kelly (RB)
The Englishman will once again play in place of the injured Ward. The towering defender was solid in their last game against Watford.
James Tomkins (CB)
The seasoned veteran has been a rock at the back for the Eagles. He has immense experience under his belt and is sure to retain his spot.
Gary Cahill (CB)
The former Chelsea centre-back has been a key player in defence since arriving last summer. Will lead the Palace attack from the back.
Jairo Riedewald (LB)
Came in as a substitute for Schlupp in the last game and looks likely to start against Brighton. Will be making his first starting appearance if selected.
Luka Milivojevic (CDM)
The Serbian skipper always plays with his heart on his sleeve. He has performed his defensive duties with aplomb and is good at set-pieces.
James McArthur (CM)
An industrious customer in the middle of the park for the Eagles, McArthur is one of the first names to be included in the team sheet.
Cheikhou Kouyate (CM)
An excellent interceptor of the ball, Kouyate is combative in the midfield and helps the side in retaining possession.

Andros Townsend (RW)
An excellent crosser of the ball, Townsend is also blessed with a powerful left foot. The Englishman can score beauties from a distance.
Jordan Ayew (ST)
Palace’s leading league goal-scorer this season with 4 goals to his name. A selfless striker, Ayew also helps Palace with his defensive contributions.
Wilfred Zaha (LW)
Undoubtedly the star man at Crystal Palace, Zaha has not had the best of seasons. Nevertheless, the top dribbler has still shown glimpses of his talent.
