Don’t Expect Miracles from the Next Manager: Former Liverpool Midfielder to Fans

Former England international Jamie Redknapp has told the Liverpool fans not to expect miracles from their next manager, irrespective of whom the club signs to replace Brendan Rodgers. The ex-Liverpool midfielder spoke to The Mail saying that the Reds next boss will not have it easy and it would not be wise to expect too much immediately.

Further, he described Jurgen Klopp as ‘box office’, though warned about the competition in the Premier League which makes success even harder to guarantee, though it can surely be achieved. He stated, “Let’s not kid ourselves. Liverpool have only finished in the top four twice in seven seasons so they would do well to get there again. But there are good players in the squad and if someone comes in and really lifts them, there’s every chance they could get there again this season.”

Redknapp further added new speculations stating that the timing of the sacking had anything to do with Chelsea’s current turmoil, he added, “You also have to wonder whether the timing had anything to do with Chelsea’s turmoil and who is available.”
