Predicted Celtic Line-up To Face Dundee FC In Scottish League Cup
Celtic will travel to the Dens Park this Wednesday night, as they gear up to taken on Dundee FC in the quarterfinals of the Scottish League Cup.
The Hoops have carried on their unbeaten run in the domestic competitions from last season, and have begun on a similar note this term as well. Sitting pretty at the top of the Premiership table following their 4-0 thrashing of Ross County over the weekend, Brendan Rodgers’ side will want to extend their run in the cup competition as well. They defeated Kilmarnock 5-0 in the preceding round and a similar result is expected against a struggling Dundee side as well.
Team News
Dedryck Boyata is fit again and is back in contention for selection, after two months out due to a knee injury. Kouassi Eboue, however, still remains unavailable.
Rodgers has claimed that he will ring in the changes heading into the game, so we expect a very different line-up, compared to the team that took the field against Ross County.
Here’s how Celtic could take the field at the Dens Park:
Manager: Brendan Rodgers
Formation: 3-5-2
The new formation worked great for the Hoops over the weekend and Rodgers hinted at sticking with it for the upcoming games.
Craig Gordon (GK)
He is the club’s No.1 and has been used by the manager in all competitions. No changes expected here in the cup game.

Mikael Lustig (CB)
The Swede wasn’t used against Ross County, but could find himself starting at Dens Park as a right-sided centre-half.
Kristoffer Ajer (CB)
The youngster will slot in at the centre of the three-man backline for the Hoops against Dundee FC on Wednesday night.
Kieran Tierney (CB)
The three-pronged defence is likely to be completed by the 20-year old Kieran Tierney, who wasn’t used by Rodgers in the game against Ross County.

James Forrest (RM)
The winger grabbed a double over the weekend and could be given an extended run on the right-hand side of the midfield by Rodgers, preserving Patrick Roberts for the clash against Rangers.
Callum McGregor (CM)
The 23-year old hasn’t started the last two games, but should be recalled to the starting XI for the quarterfinal clash.
Scott Brown (DM)
The captain is easily the most influential player on the field for the Hoops and seems to be going really strong. Will start once again.
Olivier Ntcham (CM)
The summer recruit was another player who was benched for the clash against the Staggies. Should come into the playing XI for Stuart Armstrong.

Calvin Miller (LM)
The young left-back was used by Rodgers in the last cup tie and he could return to the line-up on Wednesday, albeit in a slightly advanced role.
Odsonne Edouard (ST)
The loanee from Paris Saint-Germain has given a good account of himself each time he has been called upon. Could be given a starting role, as Rodgers might look to protect Moussa Dembele, who just returned from injury.
Leigh Griffiths (ST)
Looked good with a partner at the top and his off-the-ball movement is always sharp. Should partner Edouard in the attack.
