Ekuban To Lead The Line, Roofe On The Left – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Leeds Line-Up To Face QPR

Predicted Leeds United Line-up To Face QPR In EFL Championship

Leeds are showing signs of recovery and will look to get right back among the playoff picture with a win at QPR at the weekend.

The Yorkshire side have a number of players on 4 yellow cards but given the degree of difficulty attached to this game, it’s doubtful anyone will be rested.

Thomas Christiansen is very likely to stick with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation for this crucial away trip, most likely with the following starting personnel:

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Thomas Christiansen

GK – Felix Wiedwald

The German stopper is back in favour and is looking solid enough between the sticks. Andy Lonergan lies in wait and his presence is a constant reminder that Wiedwald needs to keep improving.

RB – Luke Ayling

The right-back is improving nicely and is one of Leeds’ go-to men these days. Another start is on the cards here and his marauding runs will play a part in Leeds’ attacking play.

CB – Pontus Jansson

The big Swede scored last time out and continues to show himself up as one of the better centre-backs in this division.

Pontus Jansson of Leeds United.

CB – Liam Cooper

Another centre-back is bound to come in during the January transfer window but for now, the highly rated Cooper looks set to carry on partnering Jansson at the back.

LB – Gaetano Berardi

Leeds are looking to add another Bristol City full-back to their ranks in the shape of Joe Bryan but for now, Berardi is happy to fill in.

CM – Rolando Vieira

Although it wasn’t the case at the start of the season, Vieira seems to have nailed his place down once again in the midfield now and is once more attracting Premier League interest.

CM – Kalvin Phillips

Took the limelight away from Vieira in the early weeks of the season and now finds himself partnering him in a young but talented central midfield area.

RW – Egzijan Alioski

The winger has been in storming form and will look to get back among the goals in this one. He’s a huge danger in away games.

Kemar Roofe

CAM – Samu Saiz

The Spaniard is keeping his countryman Hernandez out of his favoured No.10 position and is doing it very well.  Another solid display looks to be on the cards.

LW – Kemar Roofe

Likely to take Pablo Hernandez’s place in this side and will add some much-needed pace to the position, in support of the striker.

ST – Caleb Ekuban

Leeds are short of strikers once again but Ekuban is likely to play in this role now and will have some high quality support in behind.
