Everton beating Man United to land this French powerhouse for free would be the biggest steal of the summer

Everton opinion: Adrien Rabiot could be a brilliant signing for Silva

According to a report from GFFN, Paris Saint-Germain’s wantaway sensation Adrien Rabiot is in talks with Manchester United and Everton over a summer move. The Frenchman will be available on a free deal this summer after refusing to sign a new deal with the French champions.

The report reveals that the French international has had offers from Barcelona and Tottenham before but his wage demands have put off both clubs. However, Premier League giants Manchester United have offered him a staggering deal of €10 million a year with a €5 million signing bonus.

That is a mind-boggling fee for someone who hasn’t played a single minute for his club since before Christmas last year. Rabiot was frozen out of the squad for refusing to sign a new deal at the French capital but he would be a phenomenal addition to the Premier League.

However, if the Toffees somehow manage to pull off this deal, they will be making a massive statement to everybody in the Premier League including Manchester United, who they will be beating for his signature.

The Toffees are still in the hunt to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona on a permanent deal but multiple suitors for the Portuguese international’s signature have made it hard for them to seal the deal for the player who had an impressive loan spell at the club.

Rabiot, who plays the exact same role as Gomes, would arguably be an upgrade over the Portuguese midfielder and Everton would be lucky to secure his signature without European football to their name next season.

The Frenchman is a delightful football who makes things look simple on the football pitch. The way he glides around the park with the ball is a joy to watch and his stunning range of passing is one of the best to come out of France.

The 24-year-old is highly versatile in the centre of the park but his best performances have come from a box-to-box role.

Rabiot is a complete midfielder who has the potential to single-handedly change games and Everton will be serious favourites to secure Europa League football at the end of next season if they manage to sign him.
