Ruled Out – Three Players To Avoid In The Fantasy Premier League Team This Weekend

Finally! After more than a fortnight, Premier League action is back this weekend. It is time for the Fantasy managers all around the world to pull their phones out and start setting up their team. This weekend of league football has few interesting matchups and it is surely going to entertain the followers. It is a tough time at the Fantasy Premier League office this weekend. It is never easy to pick a team when there are closely fought matches and as if that was not enough, FA’s scheduling will now see Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton play their games late in the season. United and Southampton will be busy at Wembley, fighting for the League Cup which will leave a number of stars out from many FPL teams. With some big clubs not playing, here are 3 FPL players who need to be avoided from the squad for this weekend:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Manchester United (£11.5):

The Swede is one of the first names in most FPL teams but he will have to be excluded for this weekend’s fixtures. He will be playing in front of a full-house at Wembley, hoping to get his hands on the League Cup, which would be his first with the Manchester club. With 145 points already in his bank, he is a great option for most teams and he would have been in a derby had it not been for the League Cup final. His absence, however, might not require selling him as he is only missing for this weekend.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal (£11.7):

Slightly expensive than Zlatan, Sanchez is also unavailable this weekend as Arsenal were scheduled to play Southampton this weekend. The Saints beat Liverpool in the semi-final of the League Cup to set up a tie against Manchester United at Wembley and their game against the Gunners is now postponed to another day later in the season. He has been in tremendous form so far, accumulating 183 FPL points, more than any other player in the league but he will have to be dropped from Fantasy Premier League teams this weekend. Liverpool’s Sadio Mane would be the best player to replace him.

Sergio Aguero – Manchester City (£12.7):

The costliest of the lot, Aguero has not been getting game time under Guardiola recently but with Gabriel Jesus, who was in good form now injured, Aguero should be back leading the attack for the side from City’s next game, which is after this coming weekend. Manchester City were scheduled to face Manchester United in a high-intensity derby this weekend but with Jose Mourinho’s side busy at Wembley, this match has been postponed. This will leave the Fantasy Premier League managers with three less star players for this weekend as Aguero joins the list of FPL stars who will not be available for this matchday.
