This weekend, Leicester City went five points clear with a late win against Norwich and Spurs came from behind to defeat Swansea. Arsenal lost ground on the leaders with a 3-2 defeat at Manchester United. There are some defining fixtures coming up for Spurs and Arsenal in the Premier League, which could have a major impact on who wins the League.
March 5 – Tottenham vs Arsenal
A big match which could quite possibly be the most important north-London derby for quite some time. Arsenal have a good record at White Hart Lane in recent seasons, winning on two of their last three visits. You’ve got to feel if Arsenal lose this game, then their title chances will look very unlikely.
April 2 – Liverpool vs Tottenham
Spurs have only won once at Anfield in the league since 1993 but with the way they have been playing recently they will fancy their chances.
April 9 – West Ham vs Arsenal
Slaven Bilic’s side have been in good form as of late and being at home they will fancy their chances. The Hammers are trying to get an Europa League position and they will go all out for this one which will make it tricky for Arsenal.
April 10 – Tottenham vs Manchester United
Manchester United are still hoping to finish in the top four this season so this won’t be an easy game for Spurs. United beat Spurs in the first game of the season and the north-London team will need to be at their best to win the game.
May 2 – Chelsea vs Tottenham
This London derby will be a tricky game for Spurs and could have a huge outcome on the Premier League title race. Chelsea have improved a lot recently and Mauricio Pochettino will have to dig deep to get a good result at Stamford Bridge.
May 7 – Manchester City vs Arsenal
This is going to be a great fixture on the penultimate weekend of the season. It is going to be a tough game for both sides and the result could have a huge impact on the title race. Depending on where both teams will be in the table when this fixture comes around, it could potentially be a title-decider.
