After many online websites reported that Arsenal are favorites to sign Fiorentina striker Jovetic, the club’s sporting director Daniel Prade has dismissed all the rumors that associated the player with the North London club.
It was reported that Arsenal were ready to pay up to €28m for the Montenegrin star, but Prade says any chance for the deal to happen is non-existent.
Daniel Prade said,
“The way I see it, this interest is non-existent,”
“I have not had any contact with them at all. I don’t think Arsene Wenger is interested in the boy.”
When asked about other clubs interested in Jovetic, he replied,
“I have not been authorized in any way by my club to speak to Juventus. Jovetic’s situation will be resolved directly by the president. We will see what happens. We would be happy if he stayed with us.”
“He could, as well as move to Manchester, Liverpool… The chances of him staying are not good. He has behaved properly this season. I asked him to help us get back into Europe and he helped.”
“Jovetic must understand his future, make the right choice,”
“The important thing is that, if he does leave, we compensate for his sale by bringing in suitable replacements.”
