Every stage in the Football Fraternity, there is a young appreciate who is hailed as the next big thing. At every World Cup, there will always be those young players who will raise eyebrows and make the world stand up and get noticed. The FIFA World Cup next year in Brazil promises to be a great spectacle and some of the world’s best talents will be out on display.

So here are Five young Players who will perform above expectations in World Cup 2014

Raphael Varane:

This French Wonderkid surely has something in him to be the next big thing in World Football. His assured at calm presence at the back when playing in Real Madrid colours is surely a testament of his temperament and calibre. Not every young player finds a fan in Zindeine Zidane who is a huge believer in him. So much so Zizou has called him the future Laurent Blanc, so can he deliver in the National colors in the Big Stage? Why not?

Lorenzo Insigne:

The more I see of this Napoli hotshot, the more my jaw drops in anticipation. With pace to burn and full of trickery and immense potential, Insigne’s game has flourished under Rafa Benitez who has to be praised for using the exact way he wants to play. The Napoli man might stand at only 5’3″ tall, but he has all the talent to become a major player at the World Cup next year. Remember his pile driver free kick thirty yards out against Borussia Dortmund in the Gameweek one of the Champions League? If that gives an indication, Italy will thanking their stars for unearthing a real gem.

Andros Townsend:

From Tottenham Hotspur’s reserve to a National Hero. How times change in a Footballer’s life! One of the best ever learning curves for a young player is being patient, ask him. Townsend had been sent on loan an astonishing nine times and now finds himself a ticket to fly to Samba Land next summer. The Spurs winger has immense calibre and has superb dribbling skills which can unravel any defence and his greatest quality comes in dribbling past anyone who comes in his way. England certainly has found a new hero.

Paul Pogba:

One of the mainstays of the Juventus side, Paul Pogba is a genuine talent who can be termed as the future “Patrick Viera”.  Coming through the youth ranks of Manchester United, Pogba moved to Turin for more game time and boy has he grabbed his chance with both hands. Expect the Juventus youngster to be in the thick of things for France in their glittering line up boasting the likes of Ben Arfa, Benzema, Nasri and Frank Ribery.

Romelu Lukaku:

While it’s much debated over Chelsea’s end of transfer market sale on deadline day, the Toffees fans would say, “Chelsea’s pain is our gain”. The twenty year old has an imposing presence up front to flummox any defence on his day and the way he has been plying his trade in recent weeks, he has been unstoppable. With Belgium boasting the likes of riches in their squad, expect this young man to light up the World Cup in Brazil.
