Forget Aguero – It Is Time Guardiola And City Look To Sign Any Of These 3 Big Money Strikers

Aguero Manchester City

Three Players Who Manchester City Can Target To Replace Sergio Aguero

Pep Guardiola spent his first season in England without a trophy but he has managed to take his side to next season’s Champions League, which will allow him to lure the best players from Europe to the club this summer. The manager is looking to add some of the biggest names in Europe to his squad and is sure to break the bank to improve his squad.

However, he might also let some of his players leave and one such player, whose future at the club is in jeopardy, is Sergio Aguero. The Argentine is the top goal scorer for City this season but he has failed to impress Guardiola enough and is up for sale according to reports. So how should Guardiola replace him? Here are three viable options Guardiola should look at to replace Aguero this summer:

Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

The French striker is one of the best in his position at the moment in Europe and has already spoken about wanting to quit Atletico Madrid this summer. He is reportedly close to a move to Manchester United, who are also in the Champions League but it is not outside the realm of possibility that Guardiola can intervene and steal him away. He will cost a world record fee, but that should not be a problem for City as they would only be spending on a long-term replacement for the Argentine.

Andrea Belotti (Torino)

The Italian sensation was brilliant for Torino this season and has established himself as one of the best strikers in the game. He is contracted with the Italian club for another three years but is wanted by almost every top club in England. United and Chelsea are closely monitoring his progress but a chance to lead Manchester City’s attack regularly under Pep Guardiola might be enough for Belotti to be convinced to move to the Etihad. He will also cost a record fee but is worth every penny.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

The Gabon international has been in form for a few years now but has not been able to lift a major trophy yet again. Chances are that he might be frustrated and could look for opportunities elsewhere this summer. He has, in the past, revealed that he wants to play for Real Madrid but a chance to play for the Spanish tactician might be enough to lure him to Manchester. He is an experienced player at the highest level and can easily make Manchester City a European giant for years to come.
