Forget Henrikh Mkhitaryan – These 3 world-class wingers are capable of doing a much better job at Arsenal

Arsenal opinion: Three replacements for Henrikh Mkhitaryan

English news outlet, the Metro, has reported that Arsenal are ready to sell attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the Europa League final. The report adds that the club believes that the 30-year-old has failed to hit top gear at the club and that has seen them open to a move.

He arrived in January of 2018 and has since done relatively well for the club. He’s made 56 appearances and has contributed to 22 goals over the course of the last few seasons, doing just enough for the club. However, that clearly isn’t what the club thinks and selling him could be an option to increase their transfer budget.

At the same time, they cannot afford to lose someone like Mkhitaryan without adding another star. Their troubles this season have been in defence and the wide attacking positions.

Sure, Reiss Nelson will arrive from a brilliant loan spell but losing Mkhitaryan without adding someone is a death sentence.

Suso

Linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham recently, the 25-year-old is arguably the best player to replace the Armenian. A talented attacker, Suso is extremely confident about his ability on the ball, something that has developed with the move to AC Milan.

It’s here that the Spaniard has hit his potential. Like Mkhitaryan, Suso can play across the front line and even as a deeper number 6 if needed, which is why Milan are so eager to keep him.

Combine that with his eye for goal and it makes him the best man for Arsenal.

Malcom

Supremely talented, Malcom had done everything right in his career until the moment he chose Barcelona over AS Roma. Since then, the 23-year old’s stock has plummeted into the ground and so has his game-time.

But that hasn’t stopped the Brazilian from contributing to goals, adding six in just 1000 minutes. It’s a phenomenal rate given the game time he’s had and his prolific rate of scoring has always been visible with Arsenal heavily linked with a move in the past.

If Arsenal lose Henrikh Mkhitaryan, then Malcom’s speed and confidence will add another dimension to their play.

Leandro Trossard

Another fine player that Arsenal can afford if they do not qualify for the Champions League, Trossard has had a wonderful season. He finished with 22 goals and 11 assists, which is more than anyone at Arsenal has managed to do this season.

A top-target for Arsenal, former super scout Sven Mislintat had shortlisted the 24-year-old before he left. A direct and very rapid winger, the 24-year-old is someone who loves getting into attacking positions, which he has showcased on more than one occasion this season.
