Forget Hugo Lloris: Here Are 3 Brilliant Alternatives Tottenham Could Look To Sign If The Keeper Leaves The Club

London outfit Tottenham Hotspur are one of the in-form sides in the domestic league in England and Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of the squad has accumulated an electric team that can achieve great things in the future. The manager loves to spend on young talent that he can mend in his own ways and needs such players to stay at the club for years to come for his plan to work. So the manager is expected to keep the core of the side at the club next season. However, a couple of star players from the club have been heavily linked with an exit. French star Hugo Lloris is one such player who might leave the club come the end of the season. Even if he stays at the club for another year, at 30, he is not a long term solution and Pochettino will surely have an eye on potential replacements. So who can replace Lloris at the White Hart Lane? Here are three options for the Spurs to spend on if they let Lloris leave in the next couple of summers:

Jordan Pickford (Sunderland):

The English youngster has arguably been one of the best goalkeepers on viewing in the Premier League this season. Having kept three clean sheets playing for a club struggling to get out of the 20th place in the points table, the 23-year old has already made himself a name in the Premier League and His saves per goal ratio of 2.24 is right up there with the best, making him one of the most effective players in his position in England this season. He is wanted by the biggest clubs in the country. Spurs need a player who can walk into the first team in a year or two and Pickford seems to be the best option at the moment.

Joe Hart (Manchester City):

The Manchester City man on loan at Torino is the current first-choice shot-stopper for Gareth Southgate in the English national side but he is unable to find a club in England that is ready to stick with him. He has recently revealed that he wants to move back to England and with Spurs needing an immediate replacement, Hart is not at all a bad option. Having kept five clean sheets in his first ever season in Italy, Hart has shown that he is still one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and Pochettino should not hesitate to sign him up if he wants a quality replacement for Lloris who is now a 30-year old.

Mattea Perin (Genoa):

The only player on the list who is yet to play in England. Perin is a popular figure in England as he has been constantly linked with a number of Premier League clubs. However, he has managed to stay in Genoa and has continued to impress everyone with his performances between the sticks. He has six clean sheets to his name this season and his saves per goal ratio of 1.78 is also more than just decent. His distribution accuracy of 63% will also attract Pochettino. Hence, Perin, at 24, is surely a long-term option to replace Hugo Lloris at the White Hart Lane.
