Forget Morata And Aubameyang – It Is Time Chelsea Look To Sign This 32 Goal European Hotshot Aged 23

Why Chelsea Should Pursue Belotti Instead Of Morata And Aubameyang

Antonio Conte lifted the league title in his first year in England, but he is now in a tough situation in the transfer market, having to search for a top class attacker who can walk into the first team next season. The Blues allowed previous season’s top goal scorer Diego Costa to quit the club and were hoping to sign Romelu Lukaku, but that plan backfired as Manchester United stole the Belgian from under Chelsea’s noses.

This means that Conte is still in search of a genuine striker to lead the attack of his side next season and there are a number of names being thrown around at the moment. Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was reportedly close to a move to Chelsea recently and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, who is now close to a move to AC Milan, were both touted as an option this summer for Chelsea.

£65m for Aubameyang or £80m for Alvaro Morata are not prices that Chelsea are ready to meet at the moment and this might see them lose out on these transfer targets, making it even more difficult for Chelsea to find the right man for next season. But one player who can solve this problem once and for all is Italian sensation, Andrea Belotti.

The 23-year old rose to the limelight with a stellar season for Serie A outfit Torino, where he scored 32 goals and 7 assists across all competitions last season. A genuine striker with sensational finishing abilities, Belotti is strong in the air and is a hard working player who can walk into most of the top teams in Europe.

Andrea Belotti

His strength and technique are perfectly built for the English game and there is literally no reason for him to be a flop in England. Though he has not played in the country yet, Belotti has 9 appearances for the national side and has enough exposure to settle in well at Stamford Bridge and he could be the man to help Chelsea retain the Premier League title.

Michy Batshuayi is the only option in the attack for Chelsea in their squad at the moment and he is a couple of months older than Belotti. So the lack of big experience in attack is something that will haunt Conte in this deal.

Italian giants AC Milan are also plotting a move for Belotti if they miss out on Morata. So Conte should act quickly if he wants to sign Belotti, even if it is for a record fee.
