Forget Nainggolan: Here Are 3 Quality Alternatives Chelsea Could Look To Sign Including This Bayern Star

Three Alternatives For Radja Nainggolan Who Chelsea Can Target

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are one of the strongest squads in England at the moment but the manager is still not convinced that he has all the weapons at his disposal to defend his PL title. The manager was adamant to sign a strong midfielder in the summer transfer window and was desperate for the services of Belgian ace Radja Nainggolan.

However, the AS Roma man decided to stay back in Italy and recently revealed that he never even considered a move to the London outfit. Chelsea ended up spending on Danny Drinkwater. However, the Englishman doesn’t seem like a convincing option and here are alternatives for Nainggolan who Conte can consider.

Arturo Vidal (Bayern Munich)

Though he is not a long-term option, Conte should look at the Chilean international, who is easily among the best in the business in this position. Known for his physical approach to the game, Vidal is a technically gifted, box-to-box midfielder, who is effective at both ends of the field. With tireless energy and a great understanding of the game, he is a perfect midfielder for Conte’s style of play and Conte should consider the prospect of signing Vidal.

Adrien Rabiot (PSG)

Someone who is currently unsettled at his current club, Rabiot, recently revealed his plans of playing in England in the future. The 22-year old has already been linked with a move to fellow PL outfit Liverpool but Chelsea could well be a more exciting project for him to join. At his age, Rabiot is easily one of the best midfielders going around and has a great exposure at the highest level, playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. He is also looking for a new challenge and Conte would do well if he can add him to his armoury.

Ivan Rakitic (Barcelona)

The only option in this list that Chelsea may have to struggle to sign is Croatian international Ivan Rakitic. Currently an important part of the squad at Camp Nou, the 29-year old is more than capable of working his magic in England. With his experience at the highest level, he should take no time to fit into Chelsea’s system. Though is not a natural replacement for the Belgian, he is more than a capable player, and is someone who Conte should look to sign.
