Forget Vardy – Arsenal Should Look To Sign Any Of These Three Star Strikers To Replace Him

There is no doubt that Arsenal are in need of signing more strikers in the current transfer window, as they look to win some major titles in the upcoming season. Arsene Wenger failed to add more outfield players to his squad last summer and will surely want to make amends for that. Granit Xhaka was signed so early in the transfer season and now another attacker is expected at the Emirates soon.

There were claims suggesting that Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy could be making his move to north London, though reports now suggest that he might snub the Gunners and remain with the Foxes.

In case a move does not materialize for the 29 year old England international, the north London giants might have to look for other options to sign and here are three strikers that they can possibly consider:

3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

The Swedish international had confirmed at the end of the previous campaign that he would be leaving Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and making a move away. Due to this a host of top clubs from Europe and abroad were keening on acquiring his services. The 34 year old striker had been linked with the Gunners and some of their domestic rivals as well, though the interest had died down in recent weeks. If Vardy does not wish to sign for Arsenal, Zlatan could be a decent option as well, though his fee would be something which Wenger might not really want to pay.

2. Alvaro Morata:

The 23 year old Juventus attacker has been linked with a move back to his former club Real Madrid, with the newly crowned champions of Europe planning to cash in on him. Arsenal were looking to complete a deal for the Spaniard and would have to pay the asking price demanded by the La Liga giants. Once again, the Gunners did not try to push for a deal, due to the Vardy move and their rivals stepped in. However, nothing is certain yet and if the reports about the earlier interest was true, a deal could still go through if Vardy does not leave the King Power Stadium, this summer.

1. Edinson Cavani:

The 29 year old Uruguay international could be the perfect man at present for the north London outfit, as he could provide them with the goals that they need to win major titles like the Premier League. Despite being played in an unfamiliar role in recent times, the PSG man has been performing really well and could do the same for Wenger’s team as well, if he completes his move to England. Zlatan’s move away from the Parc des Princes will surely impact the former Napoli star’s decision about his future, though the right kind of offer might make the French giants consider the idea of sell him.
