Forget Wilshere: Here Are 3 Quality Players David Moyes Could Sign Including Man United Star

3 Quality Jack Wilshere Alternatives David Moyes Could Sign For West Ham

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere has been making the headlines for reasons his club will not be too happy with. The 25-year old has not been able to impress Arsene Wenger this season, and is yet to make a league start and reports claim that he could be heading towards the exit door in January.

His deal with the club expires at the end of the season and the Gunners might off-load Wilshere in the winter, to avoid losing him on a free, at the end of the season.

However, the Englishman has recently spoken about wanting more time at the Emirates and impressing his manager, which might come as bad news for potential suitors West Ham United. David Moyes, their new boss, has recently hinted that Wilshere is in his transfer wish-list for January.

If they are unable to sign him, West Ham still need a midfielder of top quality and here are three players they can scout instead:

William Carvalho (Sporting CP)

The Portugal international remains one of the most consistent midfielders in Europe at the moment and was a transfer target for the Hammers, even in the summer. West Ham failed to meet his valuation at that time but with Carvalho now unsettled in his home country, he is up for a move to England and the London Stadium seems his best destination.

He is tailor-made for the English game and will take West Ham’s midfield a step ahead in quality, and Moyes should do all it takes to land him this time around.

Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United)

The Belgian international is one of the most versatile players currently in Premier League but he has found game time hard to come by at Old Trafford.

Fellaini is wanted by a few clubs in Europe but has also been linked with a move to West Ham. At 30, he still has a few years of football left under his belt and it will be interesting to see if he leaves the mighty Red Devils to play for a struggling West Ham side.

His connections with Moyes could just swing the move in West Ham’s favour, should Fellaini decide to move away from Old Trafford.

Stefano Sturaro (Juventus)

Arguably the most exciting name on this list for West Ham fans is Italian star Sturaro. A central midfielder by trait, the 24-year old is struggling to get into the first team under Max Allegri in Turin and has been linked with an exit recently.

The likes of Everton and Stoke are also interested in his services alongside West Ham but the player has recently revealed that he is happy with his life in Italy. However, with the World Cup coming up, he would want some regular game time under his belt, which West Ham can provide.

Who do you think is the best option for the Hammers?
