Go For It Mourinho! – Amid Injury Headaches Why This Spaniard Would Be A Sensible Signing For Man Utd

Alvaro Morata

Why Morata Is The Right Man For Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has done a great job in his first season at Old Trafford as he managed to lift the Europa League title in his first season at the club. That victory gave them a pass into the Champions League next season and will give them a chance to lure some of the best players in Europe to the club this summer. One such player who is constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Real Madrid’s versatile attacker Alvaro Morata. It is now understood that Manchester United are the only club currently interested in his services this summer.

The Spanish star has played in a variety of roles at the Bernabeu, picking up 20 goals and 6 assists in all competitions in the recent season. However, he has failed to establish himself in the first team under Zinedine Zidane and is now looking for an exit. Jose Mourinho, who worked with the player during his time in the Spanish capital is now very much interested in bringing him to his new club before the start of the next season.

The former Juventus man has already proven his pedigree at the highest level in Europe and is a player who will improve most teams he walks into. The Red Devils need more than one addition to their attack as Zlatan has not yet signed an extension.

Morata, in more ways than one, is the perfect player for United in this role. As already mentioned, United will also need another attacker and the fact that Morata will be available for just around £50m will help the Red Devils spend on another super star.

His ability to play on the wing, as a support striker or as a lone striker makes him a utility player and this will help Mourinho build his team around him in crunch games. He is easily one of the most exciting attackers up for sale in the market and Manchester United seem to be his best option to get regular game time next season.

At just 24, he will fit in well with the likes of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford who are at the start of their careers. Do you think Mourinho should get this deal done quickly?
